It’s been said before that these are the two greatest gifts that you can give to your children. After Love, which is the most important gift of all, I would agree. So here’s my plan to grow the Lehnert Roots:

Start traditions
Impress beliefs and values
Teach lessons
Instill pride
Encourage dreams and support aspirations
Impart faith
Convey unconditional love

The Wings are the hard part, but giving them is just as necessary. And as long as I have given them good Roots, Roots that will always keep them grounded, I shouldn’t be afraid to give them their Wings and set them free.
